SHE Choir Brighton

SHE Choir Brighton is a collaborative choir for adult women and non-binary people.

SHE Choir Brighton is part of a wider community of ‘SHE Choirs’ spanning across the globe. Singing our own arrangements of rock, pop, indie, R&B and more, our choir is run by volunteers among us where any member of SHE Choir can teach, arrange or conduct a song from our repertoire.

Join us!

We’re very lucky to rehearse at St Martin’s Church, Lewes Road, Brighton, BN2 3HQ.

We rehearse every Monday* from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Our choir runs on a pay as you feel/can basis, with a suggested donation of £3 per rehearsal. This covers the rehearsal space fee.

*Sometimes we take a break in the Summer or over Christmas. If we do, we’ll always announce this on Instagram.

Retreats

We sometimes run or attend choir retreats, which are organised by and for members of the choir.

Our retreats are relaxing, filled with homemade food, plenty of singing, and a fair share of silliness!

Sometimes the retreats are joined by other choirs in the SHE Choir Community.

We would love to perform for your event!

We're happy to offer free of charge performances for charities, but ask for donations otherwise. Any donations from performances go back into supporting the choir.

Can I join at any time? Yes! We might be midway through learning a song, but you’re always welcome.

Do members audition? No! If you can sing in the shower, you can sing at SHE Choir.

What songs do you sing? A range! Most of our longer songs are well-known pop songs. We post a lot of reels on Instagram highlighting favourites!

What if I'm feeling nervous about joining a new group? Don't worry, we are a friendly bunch and will always do our best to help new members feel safe and welcome.
