One of the amazing perks of being in SHE Choir Manchester is the clothes swaps. SHEs bring their pre-loved clothing, add it to a giant fabric pot, and on the mark (strictly no head starts!) we can drive in and grab anything else on offer.
This week’s Clothes Swap was particularly spectacular – nearly filled the floor space at PLANT – our lovely new rehearsal venue. This wasn’t just because we have a few shopaholics in our midst. It was also because we were donating the remaining clothes to Women in Prison, a charity with a base in Manchester.
Women in Prison serve women in and around the criminal justice system, sometimes supporting them to get jobs. They have a clothes bank to help women have suitable interview and work wear. They do great work so if you like, you can go to their website and give your support!
